A significant collective and existential threshold

7–10 minutes

Saturn stationed Rx on June 29th @ 19 Pisces 25′, and Neptune stations Rx on July 2nd @ 29 Pisces 55’:

  • Time for reviewing and reflecting on expectations, visions, ideals or mis-takes of the past. Collectively we are on the verge or a need to make a new beginning in connection to our ideals, the notion of the common good and the perspective of service, survival and autonomy. Neptune will ingress into Aries next spring, and will be going back and forth on the threshold of the Equinox point for a few months, until it meets Saturn in 2026. A kind of state in limbo or preparative stage, like a sea diver after a long sea exploration dive, takes their diving suit off and hops into their very own athletic attire or their tarzan outfit.
  • Neptune passed the same degree that now Saturn stations, on April 5-6, 2020, September 16, 2020, and Feb. 6, 2021 – If you have planets or significant points on your natal chart, on this degree, then these dates may mean something significant for you.
  • These dates obviously mean something really significant collectively, as April 2020, we were in the beginning of the covid pandemic lock down period (the Jupiter-Pluto cycle in Capricorn started.)

What is the most important binding thing for us all in our common future, what is a collective memory that we can share? Saturn, as it stations Rx, indicates a kind of ‘pause’ or need to reflect, that is subjective (apparent motion), and it is somehow  bridging a time gap between past and future. When slow planets go over the same degree, there is a noticeable kind of ‘echo’ effect, or a moment to check up on something. What Neptune started, Saturn needs to control, structure, make clear or solidify. The other scenario, is that it may give some understanding in retrospect, about matters that prevailed on those dates.

  • We may notice that what hasn’t been dealt with on a collective level to do with organizations (charitable or others), institutions, health and the welfare state, lack of boundaries and border issues, as well as anything problematic to do with dealing with ‘immunity’, the water element (including what pertains to seas, oceans, and conditions thereof), the oil industry, will gradually start showing the need to exercise more control, and the need to seek a change of direction.
  • On an individual level, we may have had some visions and dreams, that we were not able to realize or commit ourselves to, due to the external circumstances, delays and restrictions of 2020, and it is perhaps the time to revisit them, reflect on whether they are still inspiring, review them and examine their viability and future course. We may just have an urge to continue on personal projects, or commitments that started at that time and take them further.
  • Things, thoughts, impressions, memories, that perhaps were working on a subconscious level, are now coming to the surface for reflection and reviewing.  This process may continue, it may feel like a clearing phase of what is important and what not, what still inspires, what has to stop, until Saturn ends its Retrograde period in the fall, or even until it’s transit in Pisces concludes, and meets Neptune in Aries.  The spiritual and ethical component is significant in what prevails in our world and the world at large, and the need to clarify expectations, establish more faith in our creative work and visions. While examining and testing, our ideals, and idealism in practice, and understanding the importance of expressing gratitude.
  • While Neptune Stations Retrograde especially on this potent final degree of Pisces, there could be some revelations coming to the fore or clarifications of past impressions. It is an opportunity to clarify past misunderstandings or disappointments. Sacrifices that were made. Or revisit something that was postponed, lost or forgotten. The importance of rectifying situations of our past is eminent. Neptune Ingressed in Pisces in 2012. We are collectively and individually processing collected experiences and sensations, addictive habits and attitudes, issues around faith, expectations, ideals, inspirations,  spiritual and creative endeavours, and it maybe useful to review what trasnpired since then. Saturn is grounding those things, testing them, clarifying them, in its transit through Pisces. Neptune stationing Retrograde at the final degree of Pisces, may feel like lifting a veil or exposing a mystery, redefining a myth or dream. It may also significantly alter our perspective of where we can be of service, what is really worth saving, idolizing, and what has lost its magic, and higher purpose. It may expose issues around abuse, violation of boundaries, victimization, or what has reached an end, and where we are trapped or we need to escape from. How do we redeem or recover from our past failures or disappointments? Is there a way to transcend limitations through merging the material and spiritual? What is that we find alluring, inspiring, and we wish to share wholeheartedly with others, what is our notion of unconditional love, what is the myth and fantasy that we keep alive, is it a form of escape, or a dream and higher cause that starts to review its feasibility and implementation?
  • We may gradually see significant changes and new things coming up, in the music and film industry, science, and health sector.
  • How do we express our inner discontentment, sorrow, disappointment? A brainstorming moment, all is one, to the point that everything is like a giant soup, a giant mess, a trap, or a liminal point of incredible promise and potentiality. Imagination, our mental state, and how we use it, can pretty much be expressed in the widest range of most extreme positive and negative manifestations. Can it become like a big celebration of our highest hopes, or a turn into a tasteless lie? Neptune is known to symbolise, messages from beyond. The final degree may feel like tuning in and out. From idealism to dissapointment. What do we surrender to, what are we seduced by, what is our highest duty? An intense threshold moment, a spiritual or emotional limbo. Some things have to stop, some others are getting prepared to bloom. Merging everything into one, is like a fragmented reality or the dream which has no end and leaves us wondering and exploring, with a big question mark and the task of faith into a brave new awakening or existence. Is it a reminder of another altered state of things, is it over, is it dissolving into something else, or into nothingness? What do we need to save, what do we need to abandon, where do we make sacrifices that are not necessary. How healthy that is?  Symbolism is everywhere. If we were Noah, what would we save in this world, in our world? What is after all, most precious? How can we help each other?
The need to address material and spiritual boundaries, or find a creative way to bind the two worlds can lead to either disillusionment and deception, or to the highest form of service, love and artistry.

  • As I was writng this I was reminded that when George Harison released the song “While my guitar gently weeps” as part of the Beatles ‘White Album’ on 22 November 1968, his natal Venus at 29 Pisces was triggered by transit Chiron. Through this song, he was expressing his sorrow and disappointment in the disharmony of the Beatles, in a creative way. The period between the recording and release of the song (September-November 1968), transit Chiron was hovering between the end of Pisces and 00 Aries, and his SA Sun had just moved into 00 Aries. It maybe potent to be reminded of this at the time Neptune is stationing Rx on the same degree. To also be reminded of this era in history. Neptune is about memories, dissolution, creativity, intuition, as well as ideals, confusion, imagination. Also, the need to serve, and our faith in new things becoming born even when times seem messy and uncertain. The need to have a wholistic view and attitude towards life. This time for George Harrison, was the transition from the Beatles era in his life to a more autonomous creative existence in the world. He entered a life phase, honoring his authentic self expression from then on, not only by his music, but with creating ‘The Material World Charitable Foundation’, a few years after– to encourage the experimentation of diverse forms of artistic expression, views and philosophies, and support people with special needs and charitable work.
  • A potent time to indivudually reflect on our spiritual, creative work at this time, and perhaps on what we have been neglecting, what and who we are dedicated to, to return to our inner source and collected experience, and realize a big cycle of service, of ideals or idealism is over. To begin clarifying, how this experience can take a new shape, how we can be truer to our autonomous and authentic self, while joining others or contributing in someway that has a higher meaning and purpose. This is also a time of serious inner reflection, and intuiting about what we project into the world, what we engage in, and how that contributes to its betterment, our own betterment. What parts of life we have abandoned, or failed to sustain, and what has become of them. What is the whole picture, and how this or our work can be addressed, restructured or renewed.
