New Moon at 23 Leo 17′

16.08.2023

Our world is fragile. This Lunar cycle reminds us of the conflicting or irreconcilable aspects of life and ourselves. Leo is about the need to find our authentic way of expressing ourselves, of being heroic, of creating, of being, and of giving love, while working, assisting or engaging with others.

The New Moon aligns with the Sun-Uranus cycle in its opening square phase. Creativity freedom, altruism, revolutionary spirit and reforms are being awakened. What doesn’t work, what needs to be fixed? It brings a sense of liberation and encourages us to question and innovate. This Sun – Uranus cycle started on May 9, 2023, at 19 Taurus. Does this date remind you of some new intention? Security, sustenance, resources, values, talents and a need to innovate, contribute and make reforms. It’s a time for awakening and revisiting those intentions, making quick decisions, and embracing our authentic selves in creating and stabilising life. Venus in retrograde motion and as a morning star manifests her fighting spirit and passion, yet also sensitivity to re-gaining self worth, resources, talents and reviving values and love, in connection to the past, reviewing and pushing forward. It points to expressing our values closer to our hearts in a more dynamic way. Also, to re-examine the roles we have played in our life and our relationships, and how we felt. This new Moon cycle invites us to reevaluate our very own sense of self and innovate, while creating space to make positive practical changes.

Our approach and goals should align with our values and allow space for love. Understanding ourselves and what we want helps us make better choices and build meaningful relationships. It’s important to practice self-love and be prepared for decisions that may require some sacrifices and stepping out of our comfort zone. We should be open to different paths and adapt to each situation in order to find the right support and improve our overall relationship with life.

An awakening of the need to do things differently, change habits and try new ideas. Our unique way of expressing ourselves and responding to opportunities is what will make a difference.

Changes in plans, professional matters, reforms in areas that require healing or rejuvenation, surprising events or revelations in friendships, collaborations, and relationships, will manifest in this cycle.

The New Moon urges us to experiment, and break free from external or spiritual limitations and expectations or make adjustment through those. It’s a time to reconnect with our true selves, and find what brings us joy and fulfillment. Also be generous. The energies of the luminaries and Venus through the filter of Leo bring attention to our heroic self, our generosity, our identity, self-expression and ego. It can also manifest as excessive pride and sensitivity. What is the connection between joy and values, how do we revive this through creatvity, heroism, accessing our inner child, the will to live, while Uranus in Taurus encourages us to question everything, perhaps have less or bring spiritual value, to our resources, while at the same time applying our skills.

Now is the perfect time to reassess our next step, asserting our own unique path and implement it in September. The fixed signs deal mostly with moral dilemmas, right vs wrong, signify a potent expression of a need for following up, and consistent persistence towards giving form to things, whether it involves stabilizing disruptive situations or challenging outdated habits and opinions. Within this lunar cycle, a powerful configuration known as a kite is formed, with Neptune as the exit point that channels the grand earth trine placements to a water placement. On an archetypal level, this celestial configuration ignites our imagination, sensitivity, psychic connection, creativity, idealism, and commitment to service or social work, through doing things our own way. Utilising practical means to do so. How can we invest and apply our charismatic gifts, our skills to a cause? How do certain things we invest energy in, appeal to others, make a difference. Are they inspiring? Staying true to ourselves, firmly resisting the pressures of conformity, while we meet others in our path (luminaries are in harmonious aspects to the Lunar Nodes), we must assess how our personal aspirations and desires either support or undermine our collective purpose. It is essential to determine the impact of our contributions on the greater whole, or the worrld that surrounds us. Do they empower and invigorate us, or do they create uncertainty and hinder our faith? During this lunar cycle, Mercury will start its apparent retrograde motion in Virgo, offering us an opportunity to reexamine lingering issues and attend to pending matters in more detail and precision, organization, or discernment. Self-accuracy may be important in this process. Our mind body connection too. We’ll pay extra attention to our overall well-being, work-life balance, and health matters. While we may adopt a critical outlook, our focus should be on recognizing what truly serves us and what is genuinely useful as we exercise patience and make deliberate improvements. The emphasis on fire and earth placements evokes the burnt soil of the recent fires—yet it also points to solid things, forms and values which can be appreciated but can also be quite brittle. Life’s tangible realities, wealth, posessions, creations, and sensual experiences need to be complemented and comprehended by spiritual values, visions, feelings and ideals. The vital element of water—our feelings and the ambiance or environment we immerse ourselves in, will make the difference. Is it healthy or is it toxic? Saturn and Neptune in Pisces are currently in their balsamic phase, our spiritual, ideological, and psychological collective landscapes and structures may feel worn out, or dispersed, and yearn for a new future vision. A vision that will inject healthy fertility into the forms and value systems of our tangible realities. Although the exact contours of this new vision may elude us for now, the New Moon in Leo challenges us to courageously experiment and embrace an authentic way of being, living, giving and creating, while mending —uniquely and resolutely, in our own distinctive manner.
