Partial Solar Eclipse at 09 degrees Aries 00′

March 29th, 2025, maximum eclipse phenomenon: 10:47 UTC / 12:47 pm. EET

An Awakening of our Impulse. The Tide of Change. What moves us, what disappoints us, what we correct, and how we strengthen our weaknesses.

This eclipse belongs to Saros 149 and is the 21st of the 71 eclipses in this cycle.

The first eclipse of this cycle occured in August 21, 1664, at 29 degrees of Leo.

A Solar Eclipse is a more dynamic New Moon. It marks the beginning of new possibilities and the end of past issues, which open the way for something new or a different approach. In general, eclipses are phenomena that accelerate developments and push us towards changes, potentially affecting our psyche, physical or terrestrial conditions, environment, and habits. They may reveal our deeper needs for change, or external factors may push us toward them. Generally, Eclipses, accelerate events and are connected to events in the geopolitical landscape, geophysical or climatic phenomena. The Sun is connected to leaders or leadership, and all forms of authority in our lives. This is the last eclipse in the sign of Aries that have started the spring of 2024, and this one ocuurs with the Lunar Nodes on the Pisces/Virgo axis – a sector of life about purification, health, service, work, and contribution, as well as the relationship between faith and discernment, usefulness and ideals. Therefore, it calls us to take initiatives, but also urges us to see how we can make changes to correct issues, clarify situations from the past, reevaluate, reconnect, and review relationships, contacts, and plans related to the past, and create bridges for the future. Re-examine and re-think what serves the greater whole, or release what does not serve. We re-connect to the past. The element of courage and intuition are engaged in innovative or pioneering ways, take th less trodden path. This eclipse encourages us to strengthen or change our relationship with our physical self and the familiar or domestic environment of our lives, or our past self. In three, six, or nine months, the eclipse will manifest its full potential.

As the Moon blocks the light of the Sun, it shadows almost all its light (partial eclipse). The Moon – the Earth, populations, social or other groups, public opinion, our maternal filter, intuition, the past, the work environment, gain solar power (the invisible side of the Moon) and illuminate the unseen side of things. Things are revealed. This eclipse is quite active and restless both mentally and in daily life, and likely brings new information to light passion or re-action. It has a reformative or experimental dimension, may surprise us or bring disruptions and setbacks to plans, or may force us to return somewhere for a review. Meetings and reconnections with people, or separations, lead to deeper realizations. In some way, the past is revived, and since this eclipse concerns the North Node, it sensitizes us (Pisces) particularly regarding values, relationships, finances, creativity, and the meeting or reckoning of common paths with connections. We will give voice to certain things or explore plans and skills in different ways. We may also clarify misunderstandings. We redefine our sense of duty and how we perceive commitments, and the assessments in existing agreements and relationships. We make re-assessments in relation to love, money, things we own in our lives (retrograde Venus in conjunction with the North Node with Saturn in sextile to Uranus in Taurus). The material level is regulated, re-assesed and needs reforms. As well as our level of commitment.

This eclipse is special for many reasons. Its ruler, Mars, is out of bounds, (indicating intense and unpredictable phenomena, alignment with desires, anger, passion, way of life, and survival), which may be finding alternate routes from the established way of doing things. This may also mean violence, threats and disagreements may be surfacing on a collective level, and potential accidents or injuries. So, it is importnant to ensure we don’t take risks, and ensure safety measures are in place, if engaged with physical activity or anything mechanical. Mars in mutual reception with the Moon in Aries, indicates there may be impulses or impulsive behaviour, quick re-active patterns, or even a need to do things our own way driven by our passions. The instinct for self-protection or defense is strong, as are the courage, desires, can be chanelled in positive or negative ways. There is also an inclination for innovation, which expresses intensely and directly through whatever moves and sensitizes us, and fall in love with. The respect for where boundaries have been violated will concern us. This can synchronize us to take care of situations, connect with others in daily life in different ways, mobilize our spirit of nurturing, to resolve issues, help others, clarify matters (Mars in Cancer), and proceed boldly in certain cases, even from a position of weakness or vulnerability. It may even highlight a need for shared experiences and personal stories to be revealed. Where we belong and the environment may concern us either through disagreements and differences of perception or through deeper processes and reforms that we either undertake ourselves or notice in relation to our surroundings and habits.

This eclipse coincides with Neptune’s ingress into Aries on March 31. The Aries Point. An experience in a certain terriotory of life is ending, and something new manifests or blooms in an impulsive and extroverted sign. Neptune, (like all transpersonal planets, belongs to the invisible realm), it is connected to earthquakes, the oceans, oil, but also with everything that is seducing, inspires, fascinates, transcends, or disolves boundaries. It’s transit in Pisces began in 2011.The Ingress in Aries, marks a completion of a cycle around the zodiac and broader changes in humanity’s ideals since 1862. Neptune relates to the collective unconscious, collective memory, collective ideals, myths and symbols, faith, spirituality, idealism, intuition, art, film, wounds and disappointments, sacrifices, expectations, romance, creativity, dreams, and hopes. Therefore, we can expect to see many new things and trends in the above fields and realms during this transit, but also more assertiveness, motivated by defending more personal, primal, or radical issues (Mars in Cancer), regarding what sensitizes and moves us. The key moment being the meeting of Neptune with Saturn in February 2026. Essentially, at that time, a kind of end and beginning takes place in structural systems in the world, connected to ideals, and the need to harness or conslidate our dreams in our individual lives. At the same time, we need to perceive and protect vulnerable points or the safety valves required in each structure, system, construction, or activity.

In this dynamic Lunar cycle, we respond and take initiative in relation to what has preceded, as well as step outside the range of our familiar territory of activity. It calls for an immediate response also to more recent issues activated from the end of January and early February, but also for a journey into our soul, returning to the past and healing certain areas. We need to change our approach and attitude. This process may bring separations, reconnections with people, ideas, experiences from the past, or changes in our environment, while the dimension of upheavals and unpredictability can be experimental, reformative, or bring radical changes in life and our perception. Our connection to things and people is serving our understanding and clarifying areas of inner self and drive, helping us also to see what we don’t want or need anymore but also realise what is missing.

Some things to ponder on: Which cycle of creative, psychological, or spiritual work we have been dedicated to from 2011 until today? What have we collectively and individually neglected? We begin a kind of assessment, a kind of clearing, and simultaneously a form of searching, on an individual level, while collective changes are also happening in the world. How does what we have gathered as experience since 2011, begin to manifest new trends and ideas that we will gradually begin or make an effort to apply? Where is the appropriate field for this work to be applied, what do we feel as our duty, and what or who inspires us, who disappoints us, or can offer us support? What has ended, what do we believe in, and who or what sweeps us along, fascinates us, or hinders us?

Our daily pace changes, will be faster, we develop a new attitude, but there is also a tendency for haste, which is not favorable at least in relation to risks, new plans, ventures, or collaborations with people we met between March 1-April 14. On the contrary, help can come through people or environments we already know. The eclipse asks us to take care of situations and take initiatives, while it is likely that some disagreements or conflicts (external or internal) will arise regarding how directions are navigated or how we invest our energy. What we love and value is a point of fated encounters, as well as a point of icoming energy and information. The focus besides all else, is on daily life, such as home, roots, our physical condition, and activities involving the body, health, but also our desires and what nourishes the body.

The planets in Aries and Pisces present dilemmas regarding what we do for ourselves and what for others. What gives joy, and what needs to be done, etc. A sense of anxiety but also internal struggles may prevail, as well as changes in our domstic sphere of life. It highlights the need to act proactively or take initiative, but alsos maintain boundaries and respect. Our relationship with boundaries, and our personal space -autonomy, may need to be regulated in relation to others’s expectations. Gradually, we clear up pending matters, or set better boundaries, to manage the important things more effectively, and this requires us to step out of our familiar life zone or daily routines. The need to organize and examine options helps in some places and requires reexamination in others, although the process may need at least three months for a better understanding.

The Luminaries are at the midpoint of Jupiter/Pluto, and semisquare Uranus. This triggers sudden excitement to take action, share experiences with enthusiasm or start a plan or activity, which may change the circumstances of our lives. It may also have a dimension of rifts or irritation/frustration within friendships, marriage, family or professional relationships, in connection to beliefs, handling resources or goals. Safety may be a factor (Uranus in Taurus -singleton in Earth), that will be taken more seriouslly, while this eclipse is active. Meanwhile, we realize differences in perceptions, perspectives and opinions as we share them with others or may become inventive in helping others change their circumstances or opinions.

Expressing opinions or intervening in others’ personal matters may create problems. However, creativity and strong intuition could reveal ingenious ways to handle pre-existing issues or regulate matters with the necessary effort. We may feel a need for detachment or alienation, or seek it to dedicate ourselves to matters that interest us or due to external factors. Implementing plans for a healthier lifestyle is also favoured. Reversals and delays in plans are part of this cycle as Mercury and Venus are in Retrograde motion, but there is a factor of subjectivity, which may favour more personal projects and activities, rather than practical matters. If in any creative activity relationship we work through our own value system or way of thinking it maybe more helpful. The need to take a break from routines to respond to something else, may also be present. A different organization and approach, as well as general revisions, could be effective management pathways during the lunar month. This Eclipse brings a dimension of fateful meetings or endeavours, shared experiences with people from the past, from whom we will learn or share opinions and knowledge, and perhaps change or contemplate our life direction, while it is also also urging us to reflect more broadly on how we value ourselves, and where we feel valued. It gives us a push to address existing issues, purify an area of our life, clarify internal or pending matters, and make use of subjects, ideas, and skills that interest us or have a pioneering direction, in different ways.

For unlocking more messages about the evlutionary themes of this eclipse, apart from the dates I already mentioned above, we can refer the following dates:

The previous recent eclipses of this specific Saros cycle occurred in March 2007, March 1989, February 1971, February 1953, February 1935, and January 1917.

On an individual level, the themes of the Eclipse highlight the areas of life where the 9th degree of Aries and the last 10 degrees of Pisces are located, as well as the 22nd degree of Cancer/Aries.

The Eclipse is a North Node Eclipse and has a more personal feel for you if you have planets or points at:

09 degrees Aries, 21 degrees Virgo (by antiscia), 29 degrees Pisces and 00 degrees Aries, 24-25 degrees Taurus and 24-27 degrees Pisces, 21-22 degrees of the cardinal signs (primarily Cancer and Aries), 29 degrees Leo (1st eclipse of Saros 149)
