Full Moon at 23 Libra 19′

April, 12-13, 2025

The Full Moon in Libra, like every Full Moon, brings culmination and closure to matters rooted in the past. It also sheds light on the need for balance in our relationships, or between two areas of life, especially if this touches points in our natal chart on a personal level.

This particular Full Moon reveals an early glimpse of what was uncovered by the Solar Eclipse on March 29, 2025 (see previous post), while also stirring and reactivating deeper, unresolved issues from the past that now seek evolution and correction. It connects to pivotal moments, and events from July 2024 and October 2023—periods marked by significant conflicts and political developments. As this takes place within an eclipse cycle, this Full Moon gains added importance, especially as it highlights cardinal signs, demanding action, effort, combined with adjustments in various areas of life (stellium in Pisces / Nodes in Pisces/Virgo – Yod).

The rulers of the Full Moon, Mars and Venus, have both recently concluded with their apparent retrograde periods—Mars, from December to mid-February, and Venus from early March until now. This emphasized the need to reassess direction, energy investment, values, relationships and contracts, both personally and collectively. Themes such as autonomy vs. collaboration in all contracts and relationship matters, justice in alliances, war and peace, economy and resources, and international trade have all been in focus. The recent Saturn-Uranus first sextile aspect marked an effort to regulate rules and structures—a need to work with old and  new approaches—both globally and in our daily lives, pointing toward reform in commitments that are seeking more independence.

This Full Moon focuses on relationships, contracts, balance, diplomacy, and fair distribution of resources, both locally and globally. There’s an active push for discussion, resolution, and negotiation, as several conflict zones attempt to move into a more dynamic period of diplomacy. The presence of Mars can be causing irritations, annoyances and disputes, or seek some kind of alternative route, in clearing the way.

The mutual reception between Jupiter in Gemini and Mercury in Pisces is particularly emphasised, suggesting ongoing fluidity and shapeshifting in exchanging information, transactions, and negotiations from unusual or foreign positions to their natural environment. This speaks about innovation, but also lack of stability in conclusion with matters. It may favor discourse and learning or studying subjects through a different lens. Their mutual exchange indicates that truths and perspectives are still unfolding, needing more facts, can be misleading, or require further investigation. Slight improvements in the overall condition of things, can be expected with Venus going into direct motion. Mercury entering Aries, and Mars entering Leo, in the following days, although Mercury will conjunct Neptune, and Mars will oppose Pluto, and form a T-square with the Sun, towards the end of April. Effort at stabilizing situations, eliminating complexity or dealing with it, and clearing confusion while correcting things, is present throughout April. Opportunities to build something and be inspired and motivated are also present.

The Sun conjunct Chiron in Aries brings old wounds and sensitivities to the surface, especially around decision-making, leadership, and self-expression. It opens the door to healing and reconciliation, illuminates the need to build bridges, and correct things, but warns against arrogance, ego-centric behavior, lack of boundaries, and estrangement due to insecurities and inecision. It unlocks hidden talents in innovative ways. A diplomatic, cooperative approach is needed to foster mutual understanding and integration. This moment may highlight a level of emotional alienation, or a lack of sense of belonging or need to withdraw and deal with sensitivity in our environment and  interactions, especially as we close chapters and open new ones. Which of these scenarios is present solely depends on the individual circumstances.

Creative thinking, the use of talents and skills, and changing routines are necessary responses to the new realities and the evolving dynamics with others. Neptune in Aries can activate the inspiration or intuition of the moment, aligned harmoniously with Mars as it enters Leo (April 19).  This may have to do with an event, in early November 2024. It favors artistic, creative projects, shared efforts, and even sparks of passion, sensitivity and faith in ambitions, causes, endeavors and romantic pursuits.

Venus turning direct, Mars in the final degrees of Cancer, and their aspects suggest a time of intensity even urgency, but also opportunity for growth, joint initiatives, and talent development. However, this period carries complexity, requiring organization, delf-discipline, attention to detail, and cautiousness in responses and re-actions.

The Yod (Boomerang) configuration with the Moon at its apex represents a high-frequency energy that can only be constructively activated through inner awareness and deliberate will. It challenges us to find new ways to take initiative and collaborate, integrating diverse viewpoints into practical solutions or changing habits. Otherwise, this energy can manifest as emotional indecision, dealing with complex factors, having blind spots, irritations and tendency to miss opportunities. Something we have not been aware of may surface at this time, and will require a change of plan or direction in various responsibilities. The area of Aries is seeking integration, correction or requiring sensitivity, guidance, or intuitive approaches. A new way of making decisions is favoured.

A key question is: How prepared are we to respond, to take care of things, to take advantage of opportunities that arise, while managing differing perspectives and realities? This is a time to examine motives, as they shape outcomes. Also to be making reforms, to simplify situations and conditions of the past. and be open to new approaches. Difficulties that arise now, can help us refine our interpersonal skills and talents in meaningful ways.

The themes initiated by Mars in Cancer will evolve further under Jupiter’s ingress into Cancer (June 9). This Full Moon is a powerful opportunity to reexamine our values, relationships, creations and place in the world, build bridges with others in creative ways, and to shape healthier conditions for everything we value. The momentum is changing, and there are positive shifts, in relationships to others, as well as some interferences, irritations or impatience that require a more sensitive approach.

There’s a touch of good fortune or luck, as the Moon aligns with fixed star Spica, though it calls for caution with haste in setting plans in place, promising things without having all the facts, and negotiations that may still need some time for clarifications.  Conclusions will take more time to solidify. Uranus in Taurus, as the only planet in an Earth sign, plays a key role in the material world, and values, experiencing instability, and calling for regulation and reforms. Saturn sextile Uranus, will assist on some level, in innovating approaches to commitments, existing values or resources, relationships and creations. It calls for making sure we preserve and give added value, to what already exists, is sustainable, and has stood the test of time, and share it with others.

On a collective level:
The ongoing trade war and how it is managed from all  sides, demands deeper reform in what we produce, how we assign value, and how we use resources on a local level. These are critical questions tied to fertility, sustainability, and self-sufficiency, which will shape the future. Food, trade, and resource management become crucial focus points requiring long-term strategic vision.
