New Moon at 06 Gemini 05′

May 27, 2025 03:02 UT, 06:02 EEST

From May 27 – June 25, 2025:

This is an important and highly active Lunar Cycle in the sign of Gemini, full of stimulation. It will significantly influence how we think, communicate, feel, and connect or interact with the world—both on a personal and collective level. This cycle brings significant news, announcements, and developments, but also calls for a different mental approach and attunement with others. It offers a preview of broader collective and individual changes that will become more apparent during the first quarter of 2026, with the conjunction of the Saturn–Neptune planetary cycle, and Saturn and Neptune reaching 0N Declination (a ~37-year cycle focused on ideological and physical boundaries and borders).

Saturn and Neptune have already ingressed in Aries, signaling the entrance (είσοδος – meaning harvest in greek) into a new environment. The planets ruling Aries—Mars and the Sun—are the ones receiving them. (Temperament: Hot and Dry – Choleric in nature, with qualities of dynamism, action, success, desire, and also the struggle for power, leadership, and innovation, emphasizing physical and intellectual presence.) These are the planets of identity, leadership, initiative, and will. They relate to profession, rulers, leadership, and the military. The world is beeing reorganized, and old structures and efforts are either changing form, manifesting in a new manner, or dissolving to make way for the new.

I am briefly noting, as themes for collective reflection, the two important events that occurred during the previous Saturn–Neptune conjunction in Capricorn (an Earth sign) in 1989: the fall of the Berlin Wall, the end of the Cold War (followed by the Maastricht Treaty in 1993), and at the same time, Tim Berners-Lee laying the foundations of the World Wide Web at CERN.

Lunar Cycle at 6° Gemini 5’

On a personal level, this lunar month brings heightened mental activity, fragmented or innovative thoughts, ideas, viewpoints, stimuli, news, or information. There’s a strong inclination toward research, sharing, recognizing difficulties, and drawing strength, knowledge, or healing through groups or personal confessions. (Mercury is combust, close to the Sun, in trine with retrograde Pluto.)

Mercury rules the South Node in Virgo, emphasizing themes of organization, data transmission, processing, communicating information that has been assimilated, possibly secret intelligence, AI. Planning, connection/access, creativity (Mercury/Moon), young people, trade and commercial transactions. The spectrum ranges from the unusual to the hidden or even illegal. The Moon is out of bounds—indicating a cycle that pulls us outside the ordinary through travel, movement, exchange of information, storytelling, conversation, and learning. We may struggle to understand or clarify —more information is needed. The Full Moon will illuminate meaning, direction, guidance and truth.

This is a cycle of learning and cognition, urging us to clarify matters and make a new start. It calls us to innovate, step out of our comfort zone, close chapters related to work, contracts, or legal matters, and move forward with a plan. Seeds of ideas for the future become more visible, offering a fresh perspective. We’ll all be students in some way—learning something new. It’s a time for reviewing achievements and clarifying past uncertainties. There’s also a revival or blooming of knowledge, work and skill accumulated in need of renewal, manifestation and new application.

On May 30, the Superior Conjunction of Mercury marks a moment of brilliant clarity (early morning Athens time), aligned with the fixed star Aldebaran (the brightest star in Taurus, watcher of the East). Very significant heralding moment that may bring important news, also a kind of mental rebirth, seeds for plans with long-term impact. It’s also a gateway with access into other realms. Mercury, as a facilitator and psychopomp, symbolises transitions, guides, and escorts of all kinds.

On June 8, Mercury’s conjunction with Jupiter at the final degree of Gemini, brings optimism, big ideas, deals, or a communication/information overload—which could also indicate overdoing or overinflating, or something urgent that must conclude to begin a new chapter. A larger picture becomes visible.

June 9–10, Mercury squares Saturn and Neptune, triggering the ongoing Jupiter–Saturn/Neptune square (active since August 2024 in mutable signs), reaching its final aspect in the cardinal signs of Cancer and Aries in the following days. This long-running process, issues with legal matters, agreements, ideas, or creative plans and promises that couldn’t previously be completed, will now make a decisive shift, enering new territory. Now, truth, justice, and promises demand recognition, take a fresh outlook—and freeing from illusions and insecurities. This is positive, if one has their ethics in place, and does good for others. The need to expand structures, and test visions faith and beliefs is present. Surrrendering a structure, a vision, a place or a quick move maybe needed. This is the architect in conflict with the constructor and his vsion and practice, or the time to show and communicate work to the public, to re-shape and promote experience.

The Full Moon on June 11 at 21-22 Sagittarius–Gemini illuminates meaning and information with an outward, dynamic force. It coincides with the midpoint of the March 15, 2025, lunar eclipse, signaling more perspective or reflection on a significant phase—especially regarding personal freedom, expression, knowledge, and communication. It highlights key encounters, home or property matters, relocations, travel, contact with foreigners, food and exchange of knowledge, legal issues, and family shifts. Matters of residence and life or personal territory are activated, pushing us toward growth. A new beginning in partnership or cohabitation may emerge.

On June 13, the Sun squares the Lunar Nodes (at the bendings – the wobble effect) in the mutable signs (21°–22°), marking a crucial moment of potential imbalance, choice and adjustment in our viewpoint. It’s time to confront willpower patterns, use of healthy ego and reorient our lives onto new paths. Those affected may experience a significant mental shift or relationship dilemma. or do soething really innovative in an autonomous way. A mentoriship type of aspect. A key decision or meeting could be life-changing. If unsure, one should take a moment to reflect on life altering decisions.

In the second half of the cycle, following a Mars–Chiron trine in Leo/Aries (bringing alternative approaches, bulding or burning bridges and healing directions), Mars squares Uranus on June 15 in the final degrees of Leo–Taurus. This creates tension, unexpected changes, and encourages liberation from constraints, sparking personal initiative, experimentation and creativity. A good moment for innovative actions. This moment echoes messages from July 13–16, 2024, urging us to take the next step toward stabilization. Whether staying or leaving, compromise maybe tough. Watch out for extreme behavior and ensure challenges are valid. This can be a thrilling moment of release, boldness, desire, exhilaration or a decisive rupture and potentially chaotic moment if desires and freedom have been supressed.

It may also be a time for taking a break, involving attraction, power dynamics, and a desire for joy and creativity—even under challenging conditions, possibly lacking support (Venus square Pluto).

Mercury enters Cancer on June 17, bringing emotional nuance and care into our communication and decisions, connecting us with the past and our imagination. What seemed unclear earlier in the month becomes easier post-Solstice, though it requires work, adaptation, and awareness of blind spots—along with discretion and sensitivity (Mars quincunx Saturn/Neptune).

On June 22, a favorable energy begins to manifest a plan or mission, fueling enthusiasm (Mars sextile Jupiter).

Psychologically, the lunar month is rich in stimuli, possible inner conflicts, and the need to unify fragments of thought, work, ideas, and emotion—functioning with wisdom and vision. The Moon out of bounds amplifies emotional instability or sparks feelings, intuition and imagination in unconventional ways. It might prompt detours or highlight distance and disconnection. This can be both positive or challenging. Mercury’s aspects to Saturn and Neptune call for reflection and introspection or accepting truths we’ve been avoiding. We must communicate our struggles and keep our perspective open. Check self negating attitudes, toxic thoughts and denial patterns. Reflect on our past and story. Find time to process the impact of our thoughts and words. Venus–Pluto square brings power issues and pressures for change in relationships, which is internal—highlighting intensity in joy and desire, and demanding emotional honesty and release of fears.

Health & Physical Condition:

Sensitivity may affect the nervous system, the head, respiratory system, limbs. Healing in general may require more information and recalibration. Balance of mind, body, and spirit is essential for Gemini overload—grounding practices and Earth-related activities are recommended.

Collectively, the Mercury–Jupiter conjunction brings important developments in communication, data, access, information, global trade, and justice with geopolitical implications. The squares with Saturn and Neptune (now in Aries) spotlight challenges in systems of information and regulation—especially around ideological and physical borders. Jupiter’s entrance into Cancer may close a chapter on the global trade war, and rift in beliefs, that started since last August, impacting growth in sectors such as supply, energy, and resource, water and land exploitation.

Venus–Pluto reflects power struggles over resources and added taxes and values. Negotiations will come with a cost. The Mars–Uranus square (Leo–Taurus) on June 15, is a brittle combination, and foretells sudden upheavals and urgent, critical developments across sectors—exposing hidden matters or enforcing a new way of doing things.

Overall, this New Moon cycle asks us to do something different from what we’re used to—or what others expect of us. It tempts us to trust our intuition and ideas. It amplifies activity and sheds light on truths, expansion, and the need to redefine beliefs, relationships, skills, routes, and how we move through the world. We may find courage, in difficult times, or decide to downsize in order to focus on what is important. What we illuminate, whom we connect with, how we assume responsibility, and where we say ‘no’—these will crucially shape our life for the next 2.5 years.

This cycle is more personal for you if you have planets or points at:
