An aspect that helps us to envision, to be inspired, to compose a dream. It brings revelations, greatly expands spirituality and knowledge, benefits art and creation, but also sets imagination on a higher vibration. It magnifies expectations, the expression of empathy, as well as intuition. It cultivates the metaphysical aspect of research and abstract concepts. It helps transitions, or transcendence,  healing and charity work. It favours good intentions and conscious harmonization with groups of people who deal with social welfare or spiritual activities. The spread of beliefs is easier or any publication that deals with symbolism, esoteric work and higher concepts. We can see something important spreading or magnifying which can have resonance in the collective sphere, as well as a more socially sensitive political movement developing. On another level we could be seeing speculative moves for easy profit. There is more acceptance and sensitivity with this aspect. It can help create conditions of harmony between ideology, knowledge, morality and aspirations or ideals, either collectively or personally. Exhilarating experiences on a spiritual, healing or creative level. We can envision the integration of experience and knowledge in the larger scheme of things. If you are a Scorpio or Pisces Sun born on November 7-9, and March 5-7, have an ASC, angular house cusp or personal planet at 15 (+/- 2) degrees Scorpio / Pisces. You may also be affected by this aspect if you have personal planets or angular house cusps in Cancer, or any of the Earth signs at 15 degrees.. 

Mars and Pluto rulers of Scorpio are currently Rx so what is manifesting with this aspect will eventually unfold in stages after the end of August and within the Fall. (Mars turns direct on August 27, and Pluto turns direct on October 2.)

This apparent station of Jupiter is on the fixed star Alphecca in the constellation of Corona Borealis. Corona Borealis represents the garland given by Venus to Ariadne on the occasion of her marriage to Bacchus after she had been forsaken by Theseus. [V. Robson, p.40.]

It is 2 days prior the New Moon/Solar Eclipse and Jupiter’s Station on Alphecca holds a potent message that is like a prelude to a story that will gradually unfold to do with an inner process of transformative understanding that has been taking place since March 9th, and is preceding a deeply purifying experience.

This is not a superficial year, and the planetary energies are not  promoting the preservation of things for appearances sake. This particular period with Mars Rx, Jupiter in Scorpio turning direct and the first Eclipse of the season in Cancer opposite Pluto, is an opportunity for a deep purification process, a soul and emotional detox that will lead to a very transformative renewal in an area of our lives. It is a challenge to transformation. The challenge lies with identifying or reconciling with what we need to abandon, or that we may feel abandoned in areas we had expected things. Since March 9th when Jupiter Stationed Retrograde, we went through a process of internal understanding of a vision, a truth or faith that was of a strengthening nature. This kind of journey is temporarily over and will start to gradually manifest conclusions or results. It may have felt like Zeus had an intense meeting with his brother Hades where they discovered the underlying truths and revealed what is of actual value both above and below. Hopefully we have become  a little wiser and possess a clearer view of why we seek what we seek, why we are where we are on the truths we profess and what needs to go.

As Jupiter stations on fixed star Alphecca we are reminded of the myth of Ariadne marrying Dionysus after she was abandoned by Theseus on the island of Naxos. After a great disappointment she is found by Dionysus who falls in love with her. Dionysus throws the garland that Venus had given Ariadne into the sky where Ariadne is remembered forever as a heroine. There is something to be abandoned yet not forgotten as we transcend and proceed into a cathartic new chapter of life. Jupiter on Alphecca is speaking of honour and preferment, a compensation reminder for all the potential hardships or inner stirring we have been going through.

We are affected by the Mars-Uranus square above and we may already be feeling a kind of accelerated action and sense of urgency or restlessness building up. This square coincides with some rare and special celestial events this week.

Some thoughts of what this may be about:

This square is part of a longer cycle: The Mars- Uranus synodic period lasts 1.9 years

This is a waning square (270^o).

It will last longer due to the Mars Retrograde period (June, 26-August 26, 2018). It coincides with Uranus changing signs from Aries into Taurus, after 7 years. A sign it revisits after 84 years. We also have a New Moon in Taurus, placing emphasis on new beginnings. There is something very special and celestially extraordinary about this coming week so we may fluctuate between being distracted,  restless, or just purely wanting to take a bold risk or initiative in some new direction. Despite of what may manifest, the energy is shifting grounds and this may be literal or metaphoric in relation to one’s personal circumstances and vantage point. 

The waning square of the cycle is somewhat Saturnian in nature, it is about changing direction, letting go of things, and realising limitations or worn out structures. It heightens our awareness in the collective sphere, through crisis or tension.

I can’t help thinking that Mars now in the final degree of Capricorn represents Cronus’s actual sickle (the weapon) in the myth of castration of his father Ouranos: and from a severing act Aphrodite was born! values and love, the pleasure principle —-> and uranus changes signs after 7 years a day before the perfection of the square! it enters Taurus, a Venus ruled sign. The established order of things in an area of our world is going to change, and will be taking a new direction. The transit of Uranus in Taurus will reverberate this square in the 7 years to come. It is present in the Ingress chart. The two planets speak about autonomy and independence; disruption, yet also alternate and liberating action. So as Mars is in some conflict with Uranus, Venus is coming into “view” which energises the parts of our consciousness of what we appreciate and what we don’t; essentially what is of value to us!

Something has to go, as the two planets are entering a new territory in new signs (Aquarius and Taurus). Figuring out what to do in a totally new territory may require bending some rules, or destabilise a previous order of things in order to seek a new direction. It may involve groups, organisations and collective endeavours, or just our very own sense of identity and autonomy. It may be the unknown factor that feels disruptive for a while, yet this is signifying the beginning of an effort for consistently pursuing change and reform. It is about activism and revolutionary acts, to do with innovation and value systems.

There is a sense of reaching one’s limits with one’s creative force, expression of individuality, autonomous rebellion or enthusiasm, or reaching a stage of shaping and giving form to something even almost by accident. There is no need for unnecessary risks or extremities, cause it seems we need to be alert and pay attention while the energy is shifting…

We may need to be brave and do the right thing. We may need to use our courage, strength, or pioneering acts in order to awaken or reform some part that is of value to us. Change the order of things. Become more conscious about what is worn out or is not serving its purpose anymore. This may be enforced or voluntary. It may be a surprise or a shock. It may be disruptive. It is an act of liberation. It is about an ultimate act, a revolution or an alternative course of action. This may be an urgent situation, a need to cut off something or detach from somewhere in order to enter new territory: An awakening of values, relationships and unions, that affects our sense of self-worth personally and collectively is being set in motion in new landscapes.
