How do we begin to lay the groundwork in order to integrate a mission, plan or vision into our reality and clarify its viability. Truth, trust, faith and the risks we are willing to take as we are moving into a new order of things.

The New Moon in Sagittarius invites us to look at the big picture, to think about the future, to clarify the prospect of a new direction in order to finally bring closure to a chapter of experience and enter a new one. The intentions we will set forth this lunar month will lead to the fermentation, completion and closure of longer cycles, and will also lay the foundations for a meaningful shift of priorities, perception of our world and interests that will likely take the whole of 2020 until they shape into form.

In the lunar cycle that begins today, we are called upon to become conscious of the notion of risk, trust, faith, promise and the adjustments we need to make in our lives in order to support conditions that have developed in their practical application in order to give us more freedom of movement in the future and strengthen our supports on the material level of life. This entails new ventures or spiritual and creative pursuits. This process includes clarifications and disengagement from situations and relationships, changes and/or adjustments to new conditions that are either our own creation or have been triggered by external factors and events. Sagittarius is a sign that requires us to conceptualise, philosophise and find meaning, in other words make sense of what we will take with us in the new season ahead (Capricorn). We will be saying farewell to a period of expectation and development of a shift in direction and moving into a period  where things are tested for their viability within more organized frameworks and rules. The ruler of New Moon, Jupiter in the last degree of Sagittarius latest states that intentions are becoming critical and fuelled with urgency for completion or closure. Since November 2018, Jupiter in Sagittarius has enabled opportunities for growth and/or improvement in some area of ​​our lives, and as a significator for knowledge, beliefs legal issues, justice, truth, teaching, hospitality, travel, publishing, spirituality, ethics, philosophy, higher education, religion, church may have brought certain of these aspects to our collective or personal awareness. Jupiter in the last degree of the sign will probably bring closure with a sense of urgency but it also speaks of something that was being prepared and is now going to ‘bloom’, with more visibility or assume a more formal and public presence (29 Sagittarius – 00 Capricorn). The Luminaries are in conjunction with the asteroid Pallas Athena so wisdom, creative intelligence, the need to become strategic, or to recognise concepts and patterns and motifs and integrate them into a larger picture blends with the intentions we are going to set forth. Athena’s wisdom and strategic gifts  -who was born out of Zeus’s head- in her meeting with the Sun and the Moon support decisions, talents, and intuition. It also highlights the wisdom we seek, project or receive in our contacts with the others. The separating waning quincunx aspect of the Luminaries with Uranus in Taurus, indicates that we enter this cycle under the influence of perhaps sudden or unforeseen disruptions, detachment and changes in our lives, habits and daily lives that either have been imposed upon us or put an emphasis on the need to adapt and accept new circumstances. This configuration brought closure aligned for the purpose of awakening and need to make progress. Balance Exercises – Equality, Love, Art, Harmony

In a spirit of change we make adjustments and focus on making our lives more harmonious, finding new balances in love and relationships with others.

The New Moon in Libra activates a new intention in creating bridges, by ‘marrying’ elements that will contribute to a more harmonious engagement with the environment of life. Naturally, the field of relationships, or contracts with others, how and what we share, as well as the sense of fairness and equality are emphasised in personal and collective realms. Libra, ruled by Venus, is the exaltation of Saturn, and in this cycle we may experience an air of formality that emerges through the social context of life, whether it concerns values, relationships, partnerships, or art and culture. Libra is the sign that has the power of reconciling opposite forces and operate by promoting commitments through equal give and take. This emphasises a sense of responsibility, compromise, and a spirit of cooperation with others.

The Luminaries separate from an opposition with Chiron that may have presented vulnerabilities and weaknesses regarding  ego and identity, our sense of belonging, and the nurturing  principle in our lives that required healing. Relationships with others, or compromises we needed to make may have triggered a sense of ‘inadequacy’ or past wounds in relation to our vital space or our autonomy.  The applying waxing quincunx aspect (of the nature of Virgo) with Uranus in Taurus speaks of this lunar cycle’s requirement for adjustments to daily life or to changes we wish or need to make with ourselves, and our relationship patterns. This can liberate us or awaken talents, abilities and skills. It is a positive indication for starting something exciting, tackle health problems through alternative therapies, and generally utilise intuition in making adaptive changes in relationships, and their financial or creative dimension. It brings progressive occupations into our lives, shows us the need to change habits and routines, promotes solidarity and through assistance by others.

The ruler of this New Moon in Libra, Venus in the sign of her domicile, emphasises equality, love, aesthetics, relationships, well-being, love, art, social life, and motivates responses, emotions and self-will to share more as we are making important beginnings. A new lunar month begins in the fire sign of Leo. Leo belongs to the fixed modality, has the quality of fire that is consistent, and emits heat, characteristics that manifest as vigor, dedication, love, radiance, authenticity and vitality. Ruler of Leo is the Sun, the centre of our solar system, the most vital source of energy for planet Earth. Without the Sun there is no life. This lunar month focuses on the self, the relationship with what gives life, our ego, our creations, and our connection with our core being – the heart.

The lunar month that begins today sets a new intention as to where and how we receive validation, and activates the process of important decisions, triggers our leadership spirit, drives us to become creative and gain a more authentic contact with our souls.

The New Moon is the synod of Moon and Sun that marks a point of arrival and departure at the same time, a perpetual 29.5 day cycle, within the continuous motion of the planets in our solar system. It symbolises the inner soul level processing of experience that is perhaps the closest to our distinctness and individuality. Within this cycle, the phases of the Moon act as indicators of synchronicity between emotion and self-will: it is this synchronisation that essentially determines the decision making process in life. The Sun in Leo is in domicile, so it emphasises in particular what we focus on, what we regard as important in life, and how we honour life.

 The Moon enters the new cycle at 08 degrees of Leo separating form a conjunction with Venus, thus translating the light of love, relationships and pleasure to its meeting with the Sun. The New Moon speaks about a union and the expression of affections. The Sun is our spirit – the conscious mind (nous), as well as vision. Everything we see is because of the Sun. So, we enter a cycle that speaks about values (Venus), the pleasure principle, value of self, how we value life, and triggers the need to express ourselves more and focus on the creative and love element in our lives. The need to respond to what gives us joy, we feel we want and we are passionate about. Despite of what problems we are dealing with on an individual level, this need becomes more conscious, has spiritual content, and leads to actions and important decisions that will have stability. Stability, of course, is relative and may sound like an oxymoron, since there is Venus’s applying square with Uranus in Taurus in the New Moon chart. Yet, the planets are in fixed signs. The square speaks of an awakening, events that may shock or surprise us, and cause us to break free from attachments and habitual patterns in the realm of love, relationships, creations and material things including money.  How does freedom relate to love, how liberated and free are we to express affections? This aspect speaks of a need to act in order to sustain by changing attitude, being awakened on a sensual or creative level, and dealing with tension in affections and relationships that may require more freedom oriented thinking or attitudes. The Venus-Uranus synodic cycle began on May 19, at 04 degrees Taurus, and will give us the full picture of the processing of experience of the two energies at its opposition phase in October, but also the month of November that will determine the waning feel of the phase. The need to renew, to change, and to seek freedom in the way we experience love, the enjoyment of things, our creations or material possessions is triggered through tension. It is a time when we may feel the urge to do different things, to experiment, to express ourselves differently, regarding values, love, skills and creativity. It is a lunar month where we can expect sudden love affairs, unconventional relationships, break ups in existing relationships, or realise we need more freedom, renewal and independence both in our relationships and in the area of self-worth. The value we give to the things around us and to ourselves changes in a way that propels us into the future, sets up ground for innovation and opens the way to form alternative paths in our associations with other people. This process will further be developed on a practical level with Jupiter’s ingress into Capricorn in December 2019. The mythological Aphrodite was born as a result of the “castration” of Ouranos by his son Cronus. If Ouranos represents the Sky God, the spiritual part of cognition (as a higher octave of Mercury) but also the representation of the existing world order up until the act of his dethronement, then Venus’s dialogue with Uranus in harsh aspect, signifies the need for some kind of liberation in order for love and values ​​to emerge through an act of bravery that overthrows the established order of things. The need to detach the realm of love and values from the mental level maybe another theme here. Saturn, along with Pluto and the South Node in Capricorn will continue to show us where we are pressured, experience limitations, need to rebuild, to gain empowerment through elimination, and also where we must set very conscious boundaries and get rid of useless and unnecessary matter, which includes fears, and self-negating attitudes that preserve a reality that no longer serves us to evolve. It is perhaps the realm of life where we are potentially sabotaging or undermining ourselves. It is where we need to understand what is hidden, beneath the surface, what we are suppressing, and how we may “blindly” make efforts to control a superficial reality that requires purging, renewal and deep radical change. The mind divides and the heart connects! There’s something we need to communicate.

Questions, situations and stimuli stir our soul, and change our connection with the world. Preparing for a new season!

Some fairy tales need to be experienced, because they help us to re-establish and to redefine our perception and faith in life. Others remain in our imagination and become traps of the endless “ifs”. How ready are we to deal with the “truth”? If we do not ask and do not connect we will not know. It is time to overcome and to follow our curiosity. Shift of orientation.

A new lunar cycle begins, with a highly charged cosmic mix of energies in the sign of Gemini, which places special emphasis on communication and connection with the world. Communication is not just logos, but every signal we emit for the purpose of making a connection. So, the main intention of this new lunar cycle is to connect or link data, ideas, stimuli, thoughts, information, translate and communicate in some way. Mutable signs signify the shift to a new season, and in Gemini (Mutable Air) we experience the transition from Spring to  Summer that officially begins with the Summer Solstice on June 22. So the climate is getting hotter! This Lunar month  is setting communication and connectivity at centre stage, in a way that seems like a kind of “farewell” to a previous chapter of life or experience. In this particular case, it is a very significant chapter of life, as July’s Eclipses in the signs of Cancer / Capricorn are going to be activated by Mars, and conditions will push us and perhaps in a fateful ways to begin a new relationship with ourselves, the environments of our lives, and how we relate to the world. We are in a transition and what is emphasized in this cycle is the need to clear up thoughts and discover alternative ways to communicate, to feel and to listen. Intuitive ability and emotional intelligence unlock messages that allow us to see or attribute the reality and the way we think about it by changing orientation.  

The Luminaries form a Mutable T-square in opposition to Jupiter in Sagittarius, with Neptune in Pisces at the apex. While the ruler of the New Moon is in the sign of his domicile in Gemini. Here it is either the case of  “all hell breaks loose” in some way to solve or clarify issues, or a situation that has inspired us expands and spreads into the world. The element of Earth, and the mutable quality prevail in the New Moon chart, which refers to the sign of Virgo, another Mercury ruled sign. Here we are called to communicate something perhaps to ascertain its correctness, to put our thoughts in order, to see what serves and what does not. Take an ideal, a dream, an expectation and apply it or cultivate it more in our tangible world. The dialogue between right and wrong is intense, and it has to balance and exploit a variety of information from different directions and give them meaning.
